Custom software development, built around the requirement.

Internal systems, operational applications, SaaS products, and client platforms built around a defined business requirement, not sold as a pre-built package.

Off-the-shelf software stops fitting at a certain point.

Most businesses start with spreadsheets, email, and general-purpose SaaS tools. That works until the process outgrows them — until a workflow needs several tools stitched together, until a spreadsheet becomes the system of record for something too important to track manually, or until a SaaS product's fixed workflow no longer matches how the business actually operates.

Custom software removes that mismatch. It is built around the process as it actually runs, not the closest available template.

What Montegra builds

Internal systems, operational applications, SaaS products, and client platforms built around a defined business requirement.

The work begins with the process, users, information, and constraints that the software needs to support. Architecture and interface decisions are made from those requirements, with clear ownership of delivery and production readiness.

  • Operational software
  • Internal platforms
  • SaaS products
  • Administrative tools

Common starting points.

01

A manual process run through spreadsheets and email

A process that started small and now depends on someone manually copying data between spreadsheets, inboxes, and shared drives, with no single source of truth.

02

Several disconnected tools doing one job

Multiple SaaS subscriptions stitched together with manual steps or fragile automations, where no single tool covers the actual workflow.

03

An internal tool that needs to become a real platform

A spreadsheet, script, or prototype that proved the concept and is now depended on by more people than it was built for.

04

A customer or partner portal

Clients or partners need controlled access to information or tools that currently only exist internally.

05

Reporting that takes too much manual effort

Producing a regular report requires pulling data from several systems by hand instead of it being available on demand.

Technical considerations that shape the build.

The data model, how the system will be hosted and deployed, what it needs to integrate with, and who needs access under what conditions are decided early, since they affect the rest of the build.

Maintainability is treated as part of the requirement, not an afterthought — the system needs to remain workable as the business and its data change.

Delivery approach.

Work begins with the requirement: the process, users, information, and constraints the software needs to support. That produces a scope naming the system being delivered, the responsibilities involved, and the conditions that define completion.

Build and test proceed with checkpoints along the way, followed by a handover that covers what was delivered and what is needed to operate it.

Frequently asked questions.

How long does a custom software project take?

Timelines depend on scope. A focused internal tool may take a matter of weeks; a multi-system platform takes longer. Timelines are set once the requirement is scoped, not before.

Can Montegra work with an existing codebase?

Yes. Work can extend or integrate with systems already in production, where the existing codebase and its constraints are treated as part of the requirement.

What happens after launch?

Production support, release management, dependency updates, and continued development are available after launch, scoped separately from the initial build.

The starting point is the requirement, not a preset package.

Send the current process, intended outcome, known constraints, and any systems that the work must connect to. Montegra will determine which capabilities are relevant and what should be defined before development begins.
